On Tuesday, we started learning our new song for Christmas Eve at Messiah. You can review the movements here. Be sure to practice a couple of times before our next practice, Tuesday, Dec 17 at 7:00 pm at Messiah.
When Heaven Came Down – open to grades 5 and up.
Here is Silent Night – open to all ages.
LET’S CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS EVE DANCING FOR THE LORD!
OPEN TO ALL DANCERS 5th GRADE – ADULT (When Heaven Came Down song)!
NOW – ADDING A SONG FOR THE KIDS AS WELL (Silent Night)!
Calling all dancers from the area, regardless if you have been involved in Freedom To Dance in the present, past, have been involved with other dance ministries, or have never danced. We’ve been asked to introduce worship dance at Messiah Lutheran Church in Lakeville, Missouri Synod Church, on Christmas eve. This is the first time ever that dance will have been included with worship in their services, so we are very excited for this opportunity.
CARE TO JOIN US?
It is a sacrifice to give up family time on this most special night. For myself, I will need to give up a family gathering, but I feel that the Lord will be glorified and honored during these services and many will experience His beauty, His colors, and His majesty during this time. It is a gift to be able to serve Him in this way.
The adult/teen song will be a streamer song, so will be very easy to learn, but will look very beautiful and complex. We already have the streamers, so you do not need to purchase your own. We also have garment overlays, so all that will be needed is a plain long sleeve black shirt and black pants.

We are also doing “Silent Night” as well, which is open to the kids to learn. It’s a very simple, yet beautiful piece!

What an amazing night it was at Breakthrough’s new church location in Mpls. Our dance team was blessed to be able to present 4 dances during worship, led by none other than Jon Russel. Our girls and young ladies did fabulous worshiping the Lord through the songs. It was a joy to watch them. We were able to listen to an inspiring sermon by Pastor Pete about the healing of the lame man from the book of John. Plus, we were able to join some of the homeless people in a lasagna dinner, fellowshiping and praying. We all loved “Roxy” the yellow lab. Her owner is George, a homeless man found under a bridge with his trusted dog (which he got off of Craig’s list for free).
If anyone has any pics, please share them so we can post on our blog: freedomtodancemn@gmail.com
Thanks everyone for a wonderful night! Our next event there will be for their Thanksgiving meal on Nov 17. Hope everyone can make it!

It was a wonderful night for our ministry as we worshiped in our new space with old and new friends learning the choreography of two songs: one new and one old. We were reminded about trusting God’s word (John 17:17) and that we should lean on His truth in all of our circumstances. It is so true. We waited on the Lord’s timing and trusted him through all of our circumstances last year. He truly blessed Freedom to Dance. He provided a great new space at Faith Covenant for our ministry to continue to meet.I spoke with a fourth grade dancer named Sarina tonight. She came tonight to reconnect with old friends. For her family the change to Tuesday night is a blessing. Last year she had to make a choice between dance and choir since they were on the same night but this year she can do both. She wants to shout out to all her 4th and 5th grade friends. She is asking for all of you to come and check out the new space that God has arranged for our ministry. It is simply awesome!Next week we are ALL meeting at 6:00 because we want to practice our new song “Gods Not Dead” before we go to a local park, “Heart of the City” to video tape the dance at 6:30.Please prayerfully consider getting involved again. Have a great week!Stephanie Cin
