Summer Pool Parties!

Freedom To Dance former and current families, as well as prospective dancers that receive a direct email, are invited to attend the pool parties this summer on Saturday, June 27th and July 25th, at Jim and Willie Love-Winter’s house (6136 Kalen Ct, Woodbury, Minnesota 55129). The pool parties will be from 2-7 pm and include, of course, dancing for Jesus! 

Please RSVP to either Willie Love-Winter or Jolene Marek to let us know if you are coming!! Also, please bring a dish to share. The potblessing will start around 5pm.  A big thank you to Jim and Willie for hosting these get-togethers!

During my prayer retreat in April the Lord called me, Cheryl, into a sabbatical season for the next four months starting on May 20th to Pause and Be in His presence. The LORD spoke to my spirit saying “it is a shemitah* summer for Freedom To Dance. Let the ministry field lie fallow so I may restore its strength and vigor.” Therefore I am laying down Freedom To Dance activities over the summer. That is, I will not be accepting ministry engagements or planning outreaches. I will be sending out communications infrequently and hope to attend social gatherings that others organize. Currently the plan is to start classes again in the Fall at Renewed Hope Church.

May Jehovah Shalom, the Lord Our Peace, revitalize and restore you over this summer filling you with His presence and refreshment!!

*For the Jews every seventh year was a shemitah year dedicated to the Lord. During this sabbatical year, fields lie fallow, agricultural work is forbidden, and debts are forgiven, emphasizing trust in God and social equality.

Thanks for Prayer Covering for Art Event

Praise the LORD for His presence and thank you, Holy Spirit, for leading us in dance on Sunday, May 17th, at the Great Commission Artists event! A big thank you to the entire team, whether you ministered in dance, covered us in prayer, or supported us by taking pictures and video! Holy Spirit helped the worship artists to all flow together and many were blessed! All glory to your name, Adonai!

Thanks for Prayers for Rededication Events +

Thanks also for your prayers for the Rededication of America events on Sunday, May17th, as well as the Benediction (Blessing) over America and Minnesota Gathering by the state capitol! Jolene is grateful for the amazing way God provided for her to go to Washington DC this past weekend for this very historic time in preparation of the 250th Birthday of our Country. Cheryl praises the LORD for holding off the rain and for the sweet incense of prayer and worship at the St. Paul capitol! The Minnesota group also specifically prayed for the strengthening of the legislators as they met for the final hours of the legislative session. (By law, all bills need to be passed before midnight of May 18.) The Minnesota gathering ended with a corporate dance to “The Blessing” and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Praise the LORD for the multiple generations who joined in declaring with movement these songs!

Jolene, also give thanks for your prayers for her and her family! God is helping them go forward by faith and prepare a Celebration of Life for her mom, Patricia. She is very thankful for all the comfort and help that the LORD has been bringing.

Our end of season potluck and last class will be held at Schulze Lake Picnic Area in Lebanon Hills Park (inclement weather location will be Renewed Hope Church) on Thursday, May 14th, from 6:30-8:30pm. We’ll be celebrating summer birthdays.  Family members are invited to join us.  Please bring food to share! Fruit, veggies/dip, rice crispy bars, jello squares, chips/dip or another favorite that you or your dancer would love to share with everyone.

The music is selected by the organizer to match her theme.  This art exhibition is an annual event for Christian artists of all kinds to showcase their art, including dancers. You are invited to join others for an informal prayer and worship gathering at the Minnesota State Capitol from 5:30-6:30 PM on the day that the Rededication of America to God is taking place in Washington DC – Sunday, May 17th! During the gathering there will be an opportunity to dance “The Blessing” song as a benediction over Minnesota and the USA. PRAYER OPPORTUNITY! You are invited to join others for the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7th. One opportunity is to join others on the front lawn of the Minnesota State Capitol (known as the Minnesota State Capitol Mall) from 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM! Let us know if you are interested in carpooling.

Worship will be from 11:30 AM to noon. Between noon and 1:15 PM we will intercede in small groups for our State and Nation . During that time legislators who want prayer will come out and we will have a chance to pray for them.

Praise the LORD for bringing everything together for the Roarriors! class at Renewed Hope Church this past Sunday! Thanks for Covering Us in Prayer!

Thanks to everyone who came to minister at Trinity Care Center on Saturday, April 18th! Thank you also to Jim for helping videotape and to all who covered us in prayer! The residents were greatly blessed and expressed their gratitude. They sensed the joy of the LORD and participated in doing motions to “I Love You Lord.” One lady, who came as a refugee to the US, shared how much the song “God Bless America” meant to her. Others had tears in their eyes as they shared what a blessing it was for us to come. Thank you, LORD, for your presence and joy!

Ministry to Seniors

Then shall the [young women] rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13

Let us bring the LORD’s comfort and joy to the elderly residents of Trinity Care Center in Farmington by ministering through dance on Saturday, April 18, in the Chateau Area at 1:30 pm! Please arrive at 12:30 pm for practice before the half hour program and plan to stay to reach out to those who come. We are planning to have a mix of group dances and solo dances. Thanks so much!

Thank you to each one who came to minister at Women On Fire on April 12th and to those who covered us in prayer! Thanks also to Rich for coming to videotape. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for your powerful presence! It was a blessed time exalting Jesus, the Lion of Judah, who has taken back what was stolen by the enemy and is seated “FAR ABOVE (emphasis mine) all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come!” (Ephesians 1:21)

Women on Fire Ministry 4/12

We are invited to join the Women on Fire in celebrating with joy the wonders the Lion of Judah, Jesus Christ, has done and is doing throughout the whole earth on Sunday, April 12 at 5 pm (4pm arrival)! Women on Fire Ministry 4/12

The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. Psalm 65:8

We are invited to join the Women on Fire in celebrating with joy the wonders the Lion of Judah, Jesus Christ, has done and is doing throughout the whole earth on Sunday, April 12 at 5 pm (4pm arrival)! We will be ministering one or two choreographed songs as well as dancing as led by Holy Spirit during their worship music. Please let us know if you are available to join us!

Ministry to Seniors

Let us bring the LORD’s comfort and joy to the elderly residents of Trinity Care Center in Farmington by ministering through dance on Saturday, April 18, in the Chateau Area at 1:30 pm! Please arrive at 12:30 pm for practice before the half hour program and plan to stay to reach out to those who come. At this time we are planning to have a mix of group dances and solo or duet dances. Please let Cheryl and Jolene know if you would like to minister a solo by April 7th.
