Freedom To Dance welcomes those who wish to glorify our Lord God through expressive movements and dance. This ministry is open to all. Through this ministry, we encourage others to move into a deeper level of worship. It is not necessary to be a trained dancer in order to worship and minister through Christian dance. If you can move your feet and lift your hands, you can worship the Lord through movement. All that is required is a teachable heart that desires to worship the Lord.
Our multi-church ministry includes two dance groups: each group spends time dancing, in prayer, fellowship, and in learning God’s Word. We feel all of these aspects are equally important in our Christian walk.
We generally begin our fall season in September and continue to meet each week, except Christmas and Spring breaks, until mid-May on Thursday evenings. The first class of the year we start with a question and answer session for dancers or their parents/guardians. Any other time during the regular year just come to class and join us to see what the Lord is doing!
Our ministry does not regularly meet during the summer months; however we sometimes will call additional practices for summer events.
Joy Dancers – Boys & Girls – 4 years old-Grade 5
Glory Dancers – Guys & Gals – Grade 6 – Adult
Practice Location:
Lighthouse Christian Church, 3285 144th St W, Rosemount, MN 55068
Registration – Show up at a practice. Registration forms will be available on the check-in table. You can also register online. (See above) You will need contact & insurance information as well as a 3×5 or smaller photo.
Cost – T-shirts ($10) are available for purchase. Donations accepted, otherwise, no fee to join. Donations are used to purchase worship instruments, garments, and other administrative items.
Volunteering – If you would like to volunteer to assist in any way, please let us know. Many opportunities are available including sound tech, sewing, teaching assistants, etc.
