Pray and Read God’s Word at Capitol
Another National Day of Prayer observance on May 4, 2023 is at Leif Erikson Park at the State Capitol. This year will be pairing a heart for prayer and the Word of God in a powerful alliance with the Minnesota Bible Readathon to declare the entire Bible over our state!
Our Minnesota observance will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Leif Erickson Park (by the State Office building across the street from the Capitol in St. Paul) with heart-level worship. The program will officially start at noon as our NDP-MN team leads us through humble prayer and repentance for ourselves, our state, and our nation. Our observance will conclude approximately 1:15 p.m.
MINNESOTA BIBLE READATHON
For six years now, the entire Bible has been declared over our state in one day! Please join us before or after the NDP program (10-11 a.m. or 1:30-3:30 p.m.) for the Minnesota Bible Readathon. We have divided the Bible into 200 readings, each 35-45 minutes in length. On May 4th, we will have two simultaneous Readathon circles β one encircling our Capitol as people decree the Word in person and the other encircling our state as people who cannot come to the Capitol are invited to declare the Word from wherever they are.
Using the appropriate SignUpGenius link below, please choose a Scripture passage, provide your email, and tell us your county in the comments section.
At the Capitol: Volunteers will be stationed at a table in the Capitol Rotunda to answer questions and give Scripture assignments for those who have not preselected a reading. We want to quietly and respectfully read the entire Bible out loud at the State Capitol. For this on-site reading, use this SignUpGenius link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0945afad2da5facf8-bible#/
Around the state: If you are not able to be at the State Capitol on May 4th but would like to declare the Word from your home or wherever you are, we invite you to use this SignUpGenius link: https://www.signupgenius.com/…/10c0945afad2da5facf8… so that we can see that the readings are being covered.

No Class on Thursday May 4
Due to ministering in Brooklyn Park on Thursday, 5/4, Freedom To Dance will not be having class at Lighthouse Church in the evening.

Celebrate Jesus on 5/27 at 10 am
The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake! The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples. Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he! Psalm 99:1-3
Celebrate Jesus is a procession of praise through the streets of the city, celebrating the Lordship of Jesus Christ and culminating in a grand worship event in which Christians publicly proclaim the Glory, the Majesty and the Supremacy of the Savior. Itβs all about Jesus … and nothing else.
What better time of the year for the Church to declare its oneness? Pentecost Weekend.
Pentecost marks the birth of the Church and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to all nations. (Acts 2:1-4) Letβs celebrate our Savior throughout the Twin Cities in locations to be announced, this year on Saturday, May 27, 2023. Put the date on your calendar!
