Hello!    My name is Cheryl Johnson.

I am excited to be working with Jolene in leading Freedom to Dance!!

Some of you may remember me from the last two practices in May, as well as joining with you in leading worship at Breakthrough Ministries in May.  I look forward to getting to know you and your children better in the months to come!

I grew up in an evangelical church and have loved Jesus all my life as far I know!  One night in third grade I asked my dad to pray with me as I invited Jesus to be my Lord and Savior “to make it official.”  Walking with the Lord has been an adventure!

In the past I have been on a church dance team, worked with children on Sundays, as well as been a Children’s and Youth/Teen Librarian at Wescott Library.  I have danced as the Holy Spirit leads at my home church, Lighthouse Christian Church, during worship for many years.  I’ve also started being more involved with Breakthrough Ministries this summer.  I praise God for how worship through movement has been growing at both churches!

Growing the church body in unity and encouraging worshiping God through dance have been two passions of mine.  So I was thrilled to find Freedom to Dance to be doing that already!  I can’t wait to see what God is going to do!!
