No practice tonight. Sorry for the late post. Just got to the church and it is closed. Might have closed for the weather. See you next week.
Sonrise Productions put together this amazing video of our dancers dancing to “God’s Not Dead” by the Newsboys. May it glorify Him!
We were very thankful for the opportunity to dance during three church services at Messiah Lutheran in Lakeville. It was a beautiful service and included a live appearance of Joseph, Mary, and a real new born baby, Jesus! Pastor Bob’s message was full of the love of Jesus Christ. Thanks to all of the ladies who gave up their Christmas Eve to serve!
Freedom to Dance has been invited to participate in Hosanna!’s Care Ministry Christmas programs. We will be dancing in the following events at the following times. We pray that each dancer is able to make one or two of the planned events, or even more if possible. It is a busy time of year, but your presence will bless many during this season of sharing the love of God through the reminder of the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ.
WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear either your dance t-shirt and black pants, or a plain black shirt and black pants. We will be providing overlays.
WHEN TO ARRIVE: Be sure to arrive 30-45 minutes before the start of each event to get dressed and to pray. We will be gathering outside of the designated room.
We will be practicing on the following nights for the Christmas events:
We will not be having any practices on:
We will be restarting our normal practices again on Jan 7
Be sure to continue to invite neighbors, family, and friends to join us for the winter/spring 2014 semester.
We were blessed by a lovely evening at Breakthrough Ministries (www.breakthroughmn.org) where we danced some fun Christmas songs for many who are homeless. It was a joy to get some of them up dancing with us to Silent Night and the energetic version of the Little Drummer Boy by Mandisa.
On Tuesday, we started learning our new song for Christmas Eve at Messiah. You can review the movements here. Be sure to practice a couple of times before our next practice, Tuesday, Dec 17 at 7:00 pm at Messiah.
When Heaven Came Down – open to grades 5 and up.
Here is Silent Night – open to all ages.
LET’S CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS EVE DANCING FOR THE LORD!
OPEN TO ALL DANCERS 5th GRADE – ADULT (When Heaven Came Down song)!
NOW – ADDING A SONG FOR THE KIDS AS WELL (Silent Night)!
Calling all dancers from the area, regardless if you have been involved in Freedom To Dance in the present, past, have been involved with other dance ministries, or have never danced. We’ve been asked to introduce worship dance at Messiah Lutheran Church in Lakeville, Missouri Synod Church, on Christmas eve. This is the first time ever that dance will have been included with worship in their services, so we are very excited for this opportunity.
CARE TO JOIN US?
It is a sacrifice to give up family time on this most special night. For myself, I will need to give up a family gathering, but I feel that the Lord will be glorified and honored during these services and many will experience His beauty, His colors, and His majesty during this time. It is a gift to be able to serve Him in this way.
The adult/teen song will be a streamer song, so will be very easy to learn, but will look very beautiful and complex. We already have the streamers, so you do not need to purchase your own. We also have garment overlays, so all that will be needed is a plain long sleeve black shirt and black pants.

We are also doing “Silent Night” as well, which is open to the kids to learn. It’s a very simple, yet beautiful piece!
