Freedom To Dance Ministry

Summary:  We are dancing at 3 Christmas parties on Dec. 16, 17, and 18 at Hosanna!  Please wear all white and come at 5 pm, 5:45 pm, and 5 pm respectively.  Bring something to share at our Christmas Party on Tuesday Dec . 16 after we dance!  Terriann and Stephanie will be joining us!!

Location:  Hosanna!:   9600 163rd Street, Lakeville, MN

Dates: 

• Dec. 16 (Tuesday) – New Friends at 5:45 pm  (CLC)
• Dec. 17 (Wednesday) – Uniquely Gifted at 6:30 pm (CLC)
• Dec. 18 (Thursday) – Dakota Woodlands at 5:45 pm (Rooms 10-12)

Practice:  Please arrive 45 minutes before each party to get outfitted!  (5 pm on 12/16, 5:45 pm on 12/17, and 5 pm on 12/18)  Meet inside door 1 at Hosanna for first two nights and on Thursday enter at door 3 and meet in hall by rooms 10-12.

What to wear: WHITE/WHITE:  Please wear a plain short or long sleeved white shirt. Wear white pants/capris/culottes.  Dance shoes or barefoot is fine.  We’ll provide the Joy Dancers with white wraps and the Glory Dancers with long, white skirts.

Our final practice is this Tuesday, Dec 9, for our Christmas dances!  We are requesting that Joy Dancers stay later (7:15pm) and the Glory Dancers come earlier (7 pm), so we have an opportunity to put all the parts for “O Holy Night” together!

We realize this is a late notice, so please do the best you can to rearrange your schedules!

Church Service:  6:15-8:00 pm.  We will be dancing during the first part of the church service.  If you need to leave after we dance, no problem!  Please arrive by 5:00pm to practice in the worship area.  We will have time to run through the songs 1-2x and then will be helping with the dinner from 5:30-6pm.

2.  We will be dancing at several Christmas parties at Hosanna! Lutheran Church in Lakeville.

Practice:  Please arrive a 45 minutes before each party.

What to wear:  We plan to wear all white, so time is needed to get each dancer outfitted with a white skirt.  Please start looking now for modest, all white tops and pants/capris/culottes for your dancer(s) to wear, if you do not currently have them.  We have a few extras, but not enough for everyone.  🙂

* The dates are firm, some of the times may change.  However, the party start time will be close to the times given.

**  There will be no practice at Faith Church on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

3.  We will be leading worship by dancing at Breakthrough Ministries during the Christmas service on December 21.

Join us on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 10:15 am (or 9:30 am for prayer) dancers and their families are invited to the Women’s Breakfast at LovePower Music & Miracles Ministries!  (LovePower Ministries’ tradition is to welcome spouses and family to the “Women’s” Breakfast, so family time can be maintained.)

Miss Jolene will be speaking at 11:15 am and during that time we will be sharing our dances!

Roller skating/Dance class at Breakthrough cancelled this Sunday, Nov. 2!  Will resume next week Sunday, Nov. 9, at 3 pm!

On Sunday, October 26, from 3-4:30 p.m. in the basement of Breakthrough Ministries (2647 Bloomington Ave. S Minneapolis) we will continue the Roller Skating/Dance lessons!

Come and join us for Freedom To Dance and roller skate with Nate “the Skate” Taylor, Miss Jolene and Miss Cheryl.  Bring skates or dance shoes if you have them.  All are welcome!

Come with a heart to praise and worship God!  We will review the dances that we will be using to lead worship at 6 p.m.  This is a great opportunity for a more extensive review than our 5 p.m. practice will allow!

Plus, there is a free dinner from 5-6 p.m., which everyone is welcome to come to!

Do you have some roller skates (not roller blades) sitting around your house that aren’t being used?  Or, are you a thrift store shopper?

We could use donations of working, kid-size roller skates for starting the new roller skating/dancing classes at Breakthrough on Sunday afternoons!

Nate “the Skate” is willing to reimburse anyone who purchases roller skates from thrift stores or garage sales.  Please bring the skates to the Tuesday night classes or any other Freedom to Dance event.  Otherwise, contact us at 612-888-3834 or freedomtodancemn@gmail.com to make arrangements.
