Time to start dancing Tuesday! Everyone is welcome to join us!! Meet in the lower level youth room.  Freedom to Dance’s 2015-2016 season starts at 6:30 pm for the Joy Dancers (4 years old-5th grade) and 7:30 pm for the Glory Dancers (6th grade-adult) at Faith Covenant Church!!

New and returning dancers are welcome!!

Each class will start with a brief Q & A time regarding this season in lieu of a separate parent meeting.  Please note the change in times (due to changes at FCC)  for those who have participated in the past!  Please bring your filled out registration forms or a 3×5 picture of each dancer to attach to the forms we will have available.

2015-16 F2D Registration Form

Location: 

  • Faith Covenant Church, 12921 Nicollet Ave. S. Burnsville, MN
  • Youth Center on lower level.  Entrance:  Coming from the south on Nicollet, do not turn into the main parking lot, but enter the lower entrance immediately after.  There is a back door there that opens right into the hall of the Youth Center.  If you park above, you will need to go down the stairs to the youth center.

Who?:

  • Anyone who wishes to dance for the Lord.  No previous dance experience necessary.
  • Boys and girls!
  • All churches welcome to join.  This is a multi-church ministry.
  • FREE ministry.

Date:  Tuesday, September 22

  • 6:30-7:30 pm –  Joy Dancers (4 years old-5th grade)
  • 7:30-8:30 pm –  Glory Dancers (6th grade-adult)

Praise Harvest Conference 2015, 9/20

PraiseHarvest          Just in!!  Freedom to Dance is joining other  teams at the Praise Harvest Conference, “A Heart that Forgives,” on Sunday, September 20 at 6-8 pm in Brooklyn Center at Spiritual Life Church!  We will be ministering “Drops in the Ocean” by Hawk Nelson.  Please let us know if you can come!

Date Change for Fiesta (9/12)!!

fiesta2Newsflash!!  The Fiesta at Breakthrough Ministries will be on Saturday, Sept. 12!!  We will be dancing at 12 noon and practicing at 11 a.m. in the gym.  Please let us know if you will be joining us on this new date and enjoy your Labor Day weekend!

The entire family is invited to come!   There will be food, inflatables for the kids, and music.

Please wear your “Freedom to Dance” t-shirts with black pants.  We will be dancing some or all of the following songs:

The Fiesta will probably go until around 6 p.m. and you are welcome to stay and enjoy the party as long as you like!

!Vamos a la Fiesta!

fiesta2!Vamos a la Fiesta!  Let’s go to the Fiesta at Breakthrough Ministries!!  Save the  date:  Saturday, September 5!

We are hoping to get more footage to be used for the “Gold” music video!

The entire family is invited to come!   There will be food, kid games, and music.  We are waiting for confirmation of the start time, however last year it was at 1 pm.

Thanks to everyone who gave of their time and talent to bless the residents of Catholic Eldercare in NE Minneapolis, as well as to all who prayed for us!!

St. Anthony of Padua Chapel was a beautiful place to dance and what a joy it was to see the residents beaming faces as we joined together in worshipping the Lord!  They welcomed us warmly and were a delight to talk to after the program.

Summer Dance Opportunity!! – July 8

Summary:  Dancers please wear WHITE/BLACK and arrive by 6:30 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Eldercare Chapel in Minneapolis on Wednesday, July8, to practice for the 7:30 p.m. special program!  Links to songs below.  Join us in praising God and ministering to the elderly!!

Thanks to everyone who was able to join us for practice this week for the special program on Wednesday, July 8, at 7:30 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Chapel, which is connected to Catholic Eldercare in NE Minneapolis!  Here are the details for this event:

Date:  Wednesday, July 8

Time:  Please arrive at 6:30 pm for practice.  The receptionist will direct you to the room we will be using.  The program will start at 7:30 pm and will last approximately one hour.  There will be room for families to sit in the back.

Location:  St. Anthony of Padua Chapel, 813 Main St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413

2014-15 Season DVD Now Available!

2014-15 DVD will look similar to last year’s.

Just in!!  Sonrise Productions has finished the 2014-15 season DVD and it is now available!  If ordered before we dance at Catholic Eldercare in Minneapolis, you will be able to pick it up there.

A minimum donation of five dollars is requested to cover the cost of the materials. The DVDs are high quality and come in a colorful plastic protector. Each dance is listed separately on the menu. These are wonderful tools to help you remember dances, learn ones you’ve missed, be blessed by watching the team in action, or as a gift for someone.

New Location for Practice, July 2!!

Summary:  Practice for next Wednesday’s (7/8) Catholic Eldercare program will be from 7-8:30 pm at the Youth Dance Ensemble & School in Burnsville.  We will be reviewing a number of the songs we have done this year.

Praise God for providing us a new place for practice, since Faith Covenant is unavailable in the evening on July 2!  We appreciate the Youth Dance Ensemble and School opening their doors to us!!

DATE:  Thursday, July 2

TIME:  7-8:30 pm

LOCATION:  Youth Dance Ensemble & School (12237 Wood Lake Drive, Burnsville, MN 55337)

SONGS:  If anyone would like to do a solo/small group piece that was not done during this past year, please let us know so that we can be sure to have the music !  🙂
