Freedom To Dance Ministry

SUMMARY:  We are ministering a Valentine’s dance program (3 pm) at the Hosanna! Fountains Senior Living Center on Saturday, February 13.  Wear WHITE/BLACK and arrive at 2 pm.  Join us in sharing Jesus’ love with the residents!

We are cancelling this evening’s dance practice due to weather.  We want everyone to be safe.

This will give us one more rehearsal before dancing next week at the Fountains at Hosanna!  The activities director has asked how many people to expect for food planning, so please let us know if you can come! Also, please review the following songs for that event:

All Freedom To Dance members and families are invited to the following events at Lighthouse (1/31), the Fountains at Hosanna! (2/13), River of Life (2/27), and Breakthrough (3/6)!  Please plan now to join us!!

1.  LIGHTHOUSE – We will lead worship for the Lighthouse children’s church (Potter’s House) on Sunday,  January 31 at 10:20 am.

     Location:  Lighthouse Christian Church, 3285 144th Street West, Rosemount, MN (enter main doors, take left past coat racks and go down hall to Life Center)

     Practice:  Please arrive at 9:15 am.

     What to wear:  BLACK/BLACK  Please wear a plain short or long sleeved black shirt. Wear black pants/capris/culottes.  Dance shoes or barefoot is fine.  We’ll provide everyone with some type of overlay.

2.  FOUNTAINS AT HOSANNA! – We will be dancing at the Fountains Senior Living Center on Saturday, February 13 at 3 pm.  Please come and bless the elderly that reside there!

     Location:  Hosanna! Entrance is to the right of door #5

3.  RIVER OF LIFE – We will be dancing at the Encounter — The Lord of the Dance Celebration: Praise Dance Conference at River of Life Church on Saturday, February 27 at 6 pm.  You are also invited to attend the morning workshops at 9 am.

     Location:  River of Life, 739 Summit Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55105

     Practice:  Please arrive at 5 pm.

     Conference Celebration:  6-9 pm approximately

     What to wear:  TBD

4.  BREAKTHROUGH – We will be leading worship by dancing at Breakthrough Ministries during the Christmas service on Sunday, March 6 at 6 pm.

      Location:  Oliver Christian Ministry Center:  2647 Bloomington Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN

     Practice:  5 pm.

     Church Service:  6-8 pm.  We will be dancing during the first part of the church service.  So if you need to leave before 8 pm., no problem!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM FREEDOM TO DANCE!!

Thanks to everyone who danced with us at Boot Camp for Jesus, Hosanna!, MN Veterans Home, LovePower Church and/or Breakthrough this past week!

As Jolene put it, “We made it through 8 events in one week, our record! God touched many hearts:  the widows,  the uniquely made, abused, veterans and homeless and all God’s children. One woman told us when we dance it releases the Holy Spirit, and strongholds are broken. Praise God!! To Him Be the Glory!!”

Many people expressed their gratitude for us coming and bringing Christmas joy through our worship!!

We will not have class on Tuesday, Dec. 29.  We pray you will all be enjoying the holidays with friends and family as we remember Jesus, as both the newborn king who came and our coming king, who has overcome the world!

Classes will start again on January 5, so we will look forward to dancing together in the New Year!!  The next events are Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Fountains and the River of Life Conference on Saturday, Feb. 27.

First, thanks to everyone who danced and helped at Boot Camp for Jesus last night!  The women were very blessed and enjoyed having our younger team members there!!

Tonight (Tuesday, 12/15) Freedom to Dance will have our Christmas Party in Room 5!  Enter at door #1 and go down hallway on left (look for Noah’s Ark mural)!  Room 5 is on the left side of the hallway about halfway down.  This will also be our staging area for the dances.  We look forward to seeing you tonight!!

Please arrive at 4:45 pm (or as close to this time as is possible) to get outfitted!  Feel free to bring a change of clothes for the party afterwards.

We’ll start the party after we dance for the “New Friends” Christmas Party at approximately 6:30; even if you are unable to make it for the dancing please come when you can to join us!!

Date and Time:  Dec. 14 (Monday) at 6:15 pm (meeting starts at 7 pm and we will dance near the beginning, after which you may leave)

Location:  Summit Townhomes, Party Room, 1500 McAndrews Rd W, Burnsville  (Party room door is by pool; limited space for dancers)

Location:  Minnesota Veterans Home Community Room (off of left hand hallway from atrium), 5101 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis  (Minnehaha Pkwy entrance closed, take 46th Ave. S from either Godfrey Pkwy or E 46th St.)

4.  Breakthrough Ministries

Date:  Sunday, Dec. 20

Location:  Oliver Christian Ministry Center:  2647 Bloomington Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN

Practice:  5:00pm.  If time, you can go join the community dinner to eat and/or talk with people.  Or have a family member get plates of food for themselves and dancer(s).

Community Dinner Time:  5:00-6:00 pm.  Family members are encouraged to show up early to help with the dinner portion.  You may serve food and/or talk with those in attendance. For more information and to volunteer to help, visit:  www.breakthroughmn.org

Church Service:  6:00-8:00 pm.  We will be dancing during the first part of the church service.  If you need to leave after we dance, no problem!  Please arrive by 5:00pm to practice in the worship area.  We will have time to run through the songs 1-2x.

Pastor Dave declared that we ministered joy at Breakthrough Ministries on Sunday, as we celebrated the freedom that Jesus Christ has given us through His sacrifice and resurrection (God’s not dead!!)!  Thank you to all who came and worshipped the Lord with us and helped us lead others in praising our King.  And thanks most of all to our Savior Jesus, whom filled us with His joy and brought everything together for God’s glory!
